Training Schedule
September 11 Teacher Training Introduction, 6-9 pm
In this session, we will provide everyone with the training manuals and the expectations of the training. Foundations of pilates and anatomy will be discussed. We will answer any questions you may have during this time.
September 12-13 Mat Training, 12-4 pm
In this session, we will go through the entire mat manual and cover all of the foundational mat pilates movements. Plan to move in this session.
September 19-20 Reformer 1, 12-4 pm
In this session, we will cover half of the reformer manual. Plan to move on the reformer and practice teaching.
September 26-27Reformer 2, 12-4 pm
In this session, we will cover the second half of the reformer manual. Plan to move on the reformer and practice teaching.

Instructors
Laura Ingram
Laura Ingram is a 500-hour comprehensive certified Pilates instructor and owner of Merit Pilates. She obtained her certification through The Lab Pilates in Chicago.
Laura is certified to teach mat, reformer, chair, tower and Cadillac, with additional continuing education in ladder barrel, jump-board, and prenatal and postpartum Pilates. Laura is classically trained and prefers to teach a combination of foundational Pilates mixed with contemporary methods.
She loves to get to know the clients she works with and truly understand how their body moves and adapts to the Pilates repertoire she teaches. It is important to her that everyone feels comfortable and welcome in her studio and progresses in their Pilates practice.
Laura has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Ball State University and a Master of Arts in Liberal Studies from Valparaiso University. She has worked in marketing and operations for the past 15 years with various consumer packaged goods and healthcare industries.
In her spare time, she loves to be with her family, watch her daughters in their respective sports, and go on long walks with her dog.
Merit Pilates, Founder
Brittney Deo is a 500-hour comprehensively certified Pilates instructor trained through Pilates Sports Center at Amplified Pilates in Chicago. She is certified to teach mat, reformer, chair, tower and Cadillac, with additional continuing education in ladder barrel, jumpboard, BOSU and prenatal and postpartum Pilates. Her teaching is rooted in classical Pilates principles while incorporating contemporary and athletic training approaches to support the needs of modern clients.
Brittney began practicing Pilates in 2014 and has taught in boutique studio environments and developed a teaching style that emphasizes strong movement foundations, intentional cueing, and progressive programming.
In addition to her work in Pilates, Brittney holds a Bachelor of Science in Information Sciences from the University of Arizona and has a professional background in television production, digital media, and marketing. She currently works as the Digital Media Manager for the National Volunteer Fire Council.
Outside of Pilates and work, Brittney enjoys spending time with her husband and their two boys.
